Richard McKinley Workshop Oct 3-6 WORKSHOP IS FULL

October 3-6, 2017 at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge.


A 4-day plein air pastel landscape workshop with Richard McKinley is scheduled for Oct. 3-6, 2017. It will take place at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, near Dover, Delaware, a quiet, undisturbed location with many interesting, paintable views.

Richard McKinley’s style and facility with painting the elusive qualities of light in nature will be suited to this location. His simplified shapes and subtle shifts of color, texture, and light give his impressionistic and expressive paintings a unique delicacy.

Richard McKinley is an excellent and inspiring workshop instructor. Generous with information and help, he provides students with a great deal of individual attention. He is President of IAPS, a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and many other pastel societies and art organizations. He is a contributing Editor of the Pastel Journal and his work is included in numerous art books and magazines. Richard has won significant awards in national and international exhibitions. Richard McKinley workshop fee: $500. Accommodations and meals are additional. This workshop is open to students at all levels of experience, and priority is being given to MPS members in good standing. To enroll, please follow instructions in the attached registration form.
