IAPS is pleased to announce that the prospectus for the International Association of Pastel Societies' upcoming exhibition at the Butler Museum in Youngstown, Ohio, has been posted. Click here for IAPS Prospectus

The dates of the exhibition are July 11 through August 29, 2010. The exhibition will hang in the Flora B. Giffuni Gallery of the Butler Museum, a part of the Butler Institute of American Art.

Approximately 35 paintings will be selected by scores from three jurors: Alan Flattmann, Liz Haywood-Sullivan, and Jimmy Wright. Awards ($1,000 for first place and additional cash awards) will be given by the judge, Maggie Price.

All artists whose work is accepted will receive one point towards IAPS Master Circle status; an award to a painting earns an additional point. The Gold Medallions for Master Circle honorees will be presented at the 2011 convention.

The digital entry deadline for this exhibition is April 26, 2010. Further details are available in the prospectus which can be downloaded on the web site.

IAPS is also sponsoring a juried exhibition to be held at the Brea Gallery, Brea California, from January 23 through March 5. The digital entry deadline for that exhibition is November 20, and the prospectus is available on the web site.

These will both be wonderful exhibitions and we hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to enter.
